I followed the link and saw another kayak site, KFS, that I came from, and I was wondering why Rod put that up. Duh! We are in front of them! Rock on!

I don't get it.

How can this be # 1 on google if the other site(s) have a LOT more threads/posts?

What does it mean since, obviously, they seem to have more action there yet this comes up 1st?

I am new, so just asking.

Thank you.

It is the way the site is optimized for the search engines and a long list of other thinks you need to do with a site to make that happen.

I'd tell you my secrets..  but then I'd have to...

Anywho....  Welcome to the site Sleeper t^

Now we are #1 and #2  ;D

Welcome Sleeper,

Don't let the talk of being #1 and #2 scare you though!!  This site is top notch.  People are excited about being on top because this site is friendly, helpful, fun, etc...It is definitely a place where everyone checks their egos at the door.  Very honest, helpful, talented, great group of people who are here for a common cause...Fishing and Comraderie!!  No one that posts is here to compete in fishing(except for the friendly fishing competitions).  You will see what I mean...no secrets here.  Most of the people here will not only help you catch fish, but they will do everything possible to get you to catch fish...everything humanly possible!

Good Luck

Welcome Aboard Sleeper,

Once you have been on the site it sort of gets addicting, so much so that you have to remind yourself to go fishing.  At least I do.  Yes we have fun and give out information freely about the only thing we do not like is someone giving out false information.

That is a no no.  There are guys on here that have been fishing all their lives and have over 50 years on or near the water, the info they share is priceless.  I only wish I had someone that did that when I was growing up.

What is nice about this board is that there is no drama, nothing but 24/7 fishing if that is what you want plus other forums that allow others to share or ask questions about almost anything.

Let me put it in very plain language we like everyone and will share openly unless that someone gives the reason not to.

We have a number of great kids on this site and a lot of them have gained insight that would make anyone stand up and take notice.  That is what we are all about.

Enough rambling, I must be getting old I find myself doing that a lot lately.

Happy Catching

Paul

Rod...I would happily be the spokesman...if you had one  ;D!  However, you don't have to do much talking when the actions speak louder.  Proof is in the pudding!

I always found it weird how people always competed when fishing.  Or on some lists, you can't give exact locations...not even where you have cleaned up!  Ridiculous  rgmn!!  Or maybe it is a lack of trust in the members.  I lurked for a while before I joined.  By just reading posts and seeing friendliness, willingness, consistency and accuracy...I was sold!

Thanks
