Bigeyes, wahoo, yellowfins, swordfish and mahi
« on: September 10, 2008, 03:34:19 PM »
Was on an open boat charter with Capt Bernie on the Tenacious. Left at 9:30 am on Monday in a nice calm sea to the Hudson. Returned today around 2:00 pm.

Went 2 for 4 on Bigeyes. One at 175 lbs and one at 190 lbs. Team effort for me, Charlie, Chuck, Frank, Tom and Tim. It took one hour to land the 190 lber. You never fought a fish until you have fought a big Bigeye...guys who caught these know what I am talking about.

Also caught a swordfish, two small yellowfin, a nice wahoo and small mahi. I had a blue shark also that broke off...not too big.

The night chunk bite was very slow in a roaring current.

After a calm night we had some weather coming back in...not too bad overall.

Lots of GOOD eats for everyone and their friends etc.

Thanks

Joe Tomaszewski

Great pics and nice report Joe.

I will be hitting the smaller guys soon. Can only run to the mud hole in my ride.  TT^

Nice report and great pictures.  Those clouds say it all.

Is that an fishfinder on the overhead in the last picture?

Tenacious has a well deserved reputation for finding fish. That was a great trip and now I'm anxious to go back out. Great pictures as well.

Was that all on the troll, or did you get anything on the chunk?  5hrug I assume you at least got the sword on the chunk. Anything else? You fish temp break or color break?

Great trip  t^ thanks for any additional info you can get me.
