Irish Ayes 10-31 blues
« on: October 31, 2008, 04:22:18 PM »
Me and Bob G went out again today to take advantage of the great weather.

As we were headed toward the inlet another boat was coming in. He told us that he was north and had blue fish early. No stripers.

We exited the inlet and started a bee line up the beach. Figured on going to Shrewsbury Rocks to check out the action there.

Got as far as Asbury Park when we saw a group of about a dozen or two birds in a tight pattern bombing bait. Made a stop and casted out Ava 47s. Had fish on most casts. More birds arrived

and so did the boats. After the action died down we decided to start heading back toward the inlet on the troll. Left the area with many released bluefish and one released short bass.

Trolled to the inlet hooking up with more fish on shad umbrellas being pulled on wire line outfits.

At the inlet we found more bird work. Cast out and caught more fish. Left them and headed in to the dock when more boats arrived and scattered the fish.

Another great day of catching.

The image on the depth finder struck me as being funny. Looked like a BIG fish about to eat a little fish.
