Last time out for the year 11/1/08

Left the dock around 07:00 and headed for the rip. Fished it with the wind against the tide for about an hour with nothing to show for it.

Needed to get Justin (10 years old) on some fish, headed south to Shrewsbury Rocks. Looked like everyone was moving around or leaving. Threw the anchor and put Justin into some Porgy action and made his to have his picture taken with a dogfish.
Pulled the anchor and started to troll the rocks with not a touch.

Back to the rip’s for the out going tide with still nothing. The water was laying down real nice as the sun was going down. Saw a few birds working, ran over and still nothing, looked like blues from what I saw a few guys catching.

Decided to put out the 9’ers and drag them around Romer’s for awhile. Ended up pulling in three shorts on the rigs and Justin got his first Striper back at the dock 19:00.

The water was beautiful, the was sun setting nice day to be out for the last time this year!

Thanks for joining us Rick. I've enjoyed fishing with you this fall. Never say It's the last trip bud....I've been on the last trip of the season the last 5 or 6 trips now TT^  One or two more yet....having to much fun!!

Justin had a blast!! Long....but great day on the water. Here's to the next time  chrz

Great report and nice catch!  Way to put Justin on the fish...he will be hooked for life, if he wasn't already!  Congrats on his 1st striper.  If that was your last trip of the year, it was certainly a good quality one!

Justin is lucky enuff's son, so he has pulled in his fare share of BIG fish.(Salmon)I am thinking he is starting to like the salt now also. I had to fight him off just to get my chance to pull in a Striper. He was even willing to trade one of his doughnuts for the rod with the fish on it.

This guy is hooked on fishing and I think that is great.

He even out fished me and his dad with the Porgy's.
