Sandy Hook Bassin' with McKee17 on JP II
« on: November 04, 2008, 08:21:30 PM »
Met with McKee17 today for the first time on the scheduled Tuesday trip from Seawaren....nice to meet a fellow NJ Saltwaterfisherman.com member.

9 friendly, hopeful anglers left the dock at 7 at the start of the incoming.....Capt. John made a bee line to the SH Channel where we drifted eels and clams with a fair number of boats....a little bit of life as we boated two keeper stripers, one of which fell for my eel offering (about 10 lbs).

That was it for the bass today as we tried the SH channel for a while, Romer, Swash, the rip and back to the SH channel. Didn't see much action from the surrounding fleet at each of the areas we fished.....there were a few blues in the mix....nice weather for early Nov....but it was just one of those days....nice to be out on this election day.

Nice report MGM!  Yeah, it's great to get out, meet and fish with others from the site.  Sounds like you had a fun day! ;D

BTW, what is JPII short for?
