Title: Roosters Flukin 6-8-2018
Post by: Peterooster on June 08, 2018, 06:33:22 PM
Variable wind, cloudy with sun made for comfortable fishing. Today Tom and I stayed close to port for a short fishing trip. The Breakwater at the Atlantic Highlands Harbor was absent any Fluke, but plenty of Bunker were around for the cast neters. A bite did develop later in the tide at the Shrewsbury Channel providing four keeper Fluke up to 22”.There were very few boats in the area which made our short drifts easy to maneuver.Sea Robin strips were the hot bait.Big Killies helped. They are plentiful so far.
