Title: Roosters Flukin 7-9
Post by: Peterooster on July 09, 2009, 06:36:30 PM
Winds from the East kept Tom and I in Sandy Hook Bay this morning. Five minutes from our slip in Atlantic Highlands Marina I had the first Fluke onboard. Although I had shorts, Tom started bringing in the keeper Fluke up to 21½"; he had a total of five none of them caught on a Killie. I did manage two keepers using every available bait on board.
We tried an area know to Sheetmetal Ace Dennis Hughes where he once caught an eight pound Fluke. We had the place all to ourselves as few boats were out today with the chilly temperatures and cloudy skies. There were many shorts caught along with the usual Sea Robins, two Bluefish and one snagged Bunker.  Pete
