Lots of guys get confussed over the NJ/NY Border in Raritan Bay. It is very important to know especially with the differance in fishing regulations.
1. Romer Shoal Light
40 30.76 N 74 00.82W
2. Boundry Marker (not shown on Chart, removed in 1970 or so)
40 28.5N 74 13.5W
3. Great Beds Light
40 29.18N 74 15.18W
Put them in your GPS or Plot them on your chart....just draw straight line from 1 to 2 to 3.
A lot will be surprized at what they thought was Nj waters is not.
Happy Fishing TT^

Great post Capt TT^ With the NY fluke season being split this year, guys fishing out of NJ are going to need to be real careful.. Getting caught on the wrong side of the line would be the double whammy..tickets for short fish and out of season..ouch Rod, this may merit a sticky! chrz

Done. t^

the line cuts thru the reach right about buoy 16- less than 16 NJ, more than 16 NY
only the southern half of the triangle is NJ south of a line between Great Beds Light and buoy 47 is pretty close
be careful out there we don't need no fun tickets....
-
if you have a good GPS unit the boundary line is marked..
