I was in Maine at Jonesboro Custom Finish Shop checking on FISH TALE over Easter week. We are in the home stretch. The electronics and electrical panels, stereo are in place. All the stainless trim is on the rub rails, quarter guards, lift rails and spray rails. Rudder and prop in place. Out riggers mounted. There is a bit more to go. I will post any new pics. We are looking at a splash the last week of April. ;D
We started the project the end of October and now we are within 4 weeks. This is going to be the longest month ever. I am looking forward to it. Its going to be well worth the the effort. She is going to be the sweetest boat to fish from. t^

THANKS Paul. I am real happy with how things have turned out. Its better than I hoped. We got some work to do in the cockpit, windows need to be installed a bit more electrical and some odds and ends and she is done. I think I might be losing some sleep as we get to the end of the month. TT^

It looks like it is coming out excellent. That will be a boat to be proud of. t^

THANKS GUYS. I am feeling pretty damn good about how things are going. We are shooting for May 1st splash. I guess I'll need to get a bunch of cigars for the that day.
HUNTER 2: she is a Calvin Beal design hull and is 36' long her beam is 13' 9" the transom is 13' the cockpit will be 169 sq ft. POWERED by CAT. C9 575hp engine. As far as capacity I am not sure what your referring to. Fuel capacity is 324gal. Number of people, I take groups up to 6. Hope that answers your question?

SouthPaw, I split my season between Cape May and Somers Point NJ. I am in Cape May April 15 thru the end of May for DRUM & STRIPERS. Then at Harbour Cove Marina Somers Point June thru mid October for everything from Tuna to Flounder. Then back to Cape May mid October thru mid December for the fall run of Bass.
I will not be fishing this spring because of getting the new boat. We are splashing the boat in Maine May 1st. I will not have the boat down here until sometime the second week of May. Does not leave me much time in May to fish. The slip I use in Cape May is a transient slip and the guy wants me out by Memorial day weekend. Bottom line he makes more money with transients coming through than he does with me. So I will be officially start my season this year June.

Thanks for the info. I hope the builders throw in a full fuel tank. ;) Thats a long trip down from Maine.
-
WOW that would be nice if they did. diesel fuel up there is at $4.65. Lets see $4.65 x 324gal = OUCH :'(
I have been going over the charts and I figure its 500 miles for the trip.
-
Hook a ride with SeaTow unlimited towing. ;D
I know you can't, but it would be a fuel saver. hehe TT^
-
Hey AYES good idea. Didn't think of that one. hhppy

w0w You mean they don't fill the tank for you free for buying the boat there...... rofla rofla

Hey Capt.
You seriously need to post more pictures. The ride is so sweet. Can't express that comment enough.
I can wait to start the break down on the 28 Angela Rose. Seeing your pictures gets me the giggles.
From what I understand, the Calvin / Osmond Beals are some kinda bad ass boats.. tanks!
Anyways Capt. BEST of luck on your ride home. Fair winds and calm seas!!!!

OK you want more pics. I am going to give you more pics. Anything for you guys. Just got the pics in from JONESBORO CUSTOM FINISH SHOP in Maine the other day.
