UNE fishing club charter
« on: April 30, 2008, 01:46:45 PM »
Well we had our first charter trip ever as a club  and i must say it went very well. Weather cooperated nicely despite having 4 people chumming even before reaching the fishing grounds with another 2 or 3 after. I must say they took it like a champ because they were fishing and puking at the same time. Everyone on the boat caught some fish. the biggest fish of the day a cod a little over 7 lbs was caught by a girl who is in the middle of the last picture. she took the pot with a little over 40 bucks. lots of krill in the water with herring all around em and  even saw some whales taking advantage of it. overall great trip , had an excellent time.

Sometimes stagnant air + gentle rollers + diesel and smelly bait =  chum

Glad you had a good time.

Good going Drew.  Even though there were some chummers it sounds like they all made out pretty good and stuck in there to pull in something.
