Title: Sandy Hook Fishing Report
Post by: Sea Weed on March 25, 2009, 08:22:10 AM
Not to tease anyone but I didn't see a thread on this.  Anyone go out of the Highlands on here?  If so could you keep us informed of the action!   ;D

I will also when I can get out.  I want to go for winter flounder up in the back bay this weekend as was wondering how the boats are doing?  Anyone doing anything? Any AH captains on here?

With all the wind, not to many were fishing.

I heard a few party boat sailed but the action was slow Yet.

dam, i was looking for a good report.

Sorry man..I was hoping to catch attention to get some responses in here.  I knew that was going to happen.  I am so on the fence about going this weekend.  I will suffer through a cloudy 45 degree day if the fish are there.  If anyone hears anything please let me know.  If I go I'll report back Monday morning.

A frriend fished the Navasink on Monday. He told me it was a slow pick. He only managed 2 keepers.
Good Luck this weekend. I'm going out in the Manasquan on Saturday. I'll report back.

Still slow from all I have heard. Water temp still very low 40s not helping the situation. Windy day makes it even worse.

Good luck if you go. Don't forget your camera.  t^

Sea Weed, IMO, if your boat is ready, and ya have the day off,  GO FISHIN!!  TT^  While it may not be gangbusters yet, there are fish to be caught.. I know none will come to your house.. If my boat was ready, and I did'nt have to help my bro move this week, I'd be down there.. It's been a loong winter.. BE the report  TT^  chrz

Not much going on the the Shrewsbury or Navesink.  Heard about a few flounder up by the Oceanic Bridge, but nothing worth braving this crappy weather for.

Going to try taking the boat up the bay this weekend to soak some clams. the bass are still cold and lazy, a flurry of shorts with the tide and then nothing.  Can we get 5-8 degrees please?

Welcome Aboard Craig720,

If it is any thing like it is down here in Toms River you better have an anchor tied to your pants as the wind is crazy.  We have had gusts to 46 mph and they say it is suppose to be like this till 10 tonight.

I have nor heard any reports from the hook at all.  It seems like all good things are happening from Keyport East.  All along the flats.

Glad to have you on board and am looking forward to your reports.  If you have any questions do not hesitate to throw them out there.  We are a pretty friendly group.

Again Welcome Aboard.

Happy Catching

Paul
