Canyon Fishing beyond 101 Open Boat
« on: January 31, 2009, 10:42:10 PM »
Hey Guys,

Looking for 5 diehard Tuna fishing anglers to fish aboard with the Canyon Runner out of Point Pleasant. This will be a serious hands on experience for the anglers. You will have the opportunity to fish and plan your trip as if you owned the business. This trip will be a 2 day overnighter spending 30 + hours offshore. We would be down at the boat 6am on the first day to pack out all the gear necessary for, trolling, chunking, sword fishing,  sharking, and tilefishing. We would leave the dock around 8am start trolling around 11 am and troll till dark. At night we will chunk for tuna, setup for sword fishing, and sharks. In the morning we will get on the troll at first light. We will also spend some time dropping on the tile fishing grounds.

Remember this will be like no other charter trip you will ever do. You will be hands on crew in every phase of the operation. You will from the start to finish  see what it takes from fueling the boat, checking over life safety gear, to packing out all necessary supplies and gear for fishing all the above species, appropriate amount of ice, bait, and gear, for your catch. You will also get the Captains perspective on weather, water temps, engine room, fish finders, radar, working the bridge, working the cock pit, lure placement, trolling patterns, trolling speeds, boat handling, and were to go. You will also be involved in the predeparture bait process as well as making bait out on the fishing grounds. These are very critical steps that can make or break your trip. Before we reach our predetermined spot we will look for signs of life and track them to only insure were we should be for the chunk. These guys, are the best in the business and are there to show us and answer any and all the questions that we may or may not have. This is a great opportunity for anyone serious about Tuna fishing. These guys have the best catch and hook up ratio on the east coast.

The coast of this trip would be $3595.00 plus tip. Tip is usually 15-20% I would say from my experience if you want the best experience; we would give them 20%. How I would present this to the crew is that, IF YOU MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS WE WILL DEFFINATLY MEET YOURS. A tip potential tip of $ 719.00 will go along way. However that will not insure our catch but I can guarantee that you will have their undivided attention and the will defiantly go the extra mile.

So trip total $3595.00
                     $719.00
                   --------------
$4314.00 divided by 6 guys =   $ 719.00 not half bad considering the wealth of information.

You can use credit cards.

This trip would take place between June and July.

The vessel will be at the very least the 48’ Viking, but could be the 60’ Ritchie Howell.

We have to book this as soon as possible, the date would be a palimanary date and will change in respect to weather and fish patterns. These guys do not look to take you for a boat ride to take your money. They rather not have our money to protect there reputation. These guys do not usually leave the dock unless they are certain to put together a nice catch. There reputation speaks for them.

Feel free to post your interest here or PM me direct for any questions or concerns.

Please serious inquiries only. I would hope to be able to put this trip together with a strictly NJSWF crew only…

Thanks
Mike

Tell your family that you will be bringing back 2 months worth of food. This way they can take next months $700.00 and spend it on something for them selves.  ;D
