Fishguts 8/10 father &son wrecktrip
« on: August 12, 2011, 07:15:28 PM »
On 8/10 it was Ed and his son Connor out for a day of bonding and rod bending. They started the day with a nice pick of quality seabass to 2.7 lbs and good action. The seabass bite  then slowed but the anglers did pick some cod, ling, fluke, and blackfish to keep them busy. A few drops on some inshore lumps for fluke were a bust. After about 40 minutes of nothing going into the cooler I asked the anglers if they were interested in jigging some seabass. They were more than happy and enjoyed some real nice action with mixed size fish. Another real fun day spent with a great family. Trip total for the 2 anglers was 30 keeper seabass, 2 legal codfish, one 15" blackfish ,one 19" fluke, and 3 ling for a nice mix of tasty fillets.
