Greetings,
Just signed on to the forum. I was recently visiting a friend in South Florida doing some broadbill fishing. He was hooked up to the Swordfish Central Forum. I was impressed and looked for a similar community here. Looks like I found it. Been fishing South Jersey inshore and near shore (20 ft CC) for about 17 years. Looking forward to participating. With that said, has anyone used Shimano's butterfly jig rigs for stripers? they look interesting although a bit pricey (around $12 a rig)? Probably work better in the spring

very nice to have you here... I am sure you will enjoy your stay.. How did you find this site?

found it by trolling the web

Welcome Tang.
$12 is pricey for striper bait. I plan to stick with $3-$4 jigs which have been proven over the years.

I believe member Bucktail is using the butterfly jigs. I'm sure you will have imput from him when he comes online.

Welcome Aboard. With all the blues around, I lost a few jigs last time I went out of Atlantic Highlands 10-22. Throw cheaper jigs until the blues are gone. <'((((><

Welcome Aboard Tang,
That was the name of one of my stepfathers submarines he skippered in WWII.
Nice to have you aboard, and looking forward to your reports.
Happy Catching
