Tuna Tales Blackfishing 10-30
« on: October 30, 2008, 06:53:40 PM »
Today was very good for Blackfish. We caught and released about 50 tog including keepers of 8 lbs (two) and one 6 lber. (Boga Grip)

Released togs were other 8 lbers (me and Darren each); 9 lber (me) and two over 10 lbs (broke the line/hooks) plus many 4 to 6 lbers.

My nephew Eddie Goodell Jr. did OK with about 15 tog to 6 lbs. He also had 5 nice porgies.

Hot bite between 9:00 am and 11:00 in the 25 to 30 mph NW.

Then went to look for stripers...not much life heading back from the North to Shark River Inlet. Just a school of bluefish off Bradley Beach that were skittish.

Not many pics with the hot action...here is my 8 lber.

Looks for good for the upcoming full open Blackfish season.

Thx

Joe Tomaszewski

Nice catch and report Joe. See ya at the dock sometime.

My boat will be coming out next week. Seth will be turning off the water at the docks and I need to get some work done on the boat before the harsh winter sets in.  :P
