Did a Fish Monger open boat Sea Bass Trip Yesterday. It was a bit sporty in the morning but conditions improved as a day went on. Left the dock at 0630 hours and tried jigging the striped ones first thing but no takers. Sounded like from the reports Jerry was getting all day the Striper fishing was tough. Off to the reef. The C bass we a bit picking today, but with Jerry’s expertise and persistence, lots of moves, wiggles and such we put together our boat limit of 165 keepers. I am guessing the short to keeper ratio was 50% but that is just a guess. We had some quality size fish mixed in. All always, the crew on the Monger are the best.
