Is nobody fishing? Or are there no fish
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I would think that not many people are fishing for them.  Last weekend was a perfect example, beautiful weather and I did not even think of going fishing. I am not going to spend my money when I can not go home with fish to fill my freezer. I am not big into porgy fishing as when you are done fileting them and then take the stomach bones out, your filet is significantly smaller. They are catching loads of nice to large sea bass, OOOPS  rgmn rgmn some govermental morons still think they are endangered and you can not keep them again until 11/1. nts 5hrug I actually have read a couple of posts on other sites where boats have picked up their anchors and moved to another spot to get away from the sea bass as they were tired of throwing the KEEPERS back. They are having the best Canyon fishing in years, but not everyone can afford to spend from $300 to $600 and more to go on these trips. They are catching lots of keeper blackfish, but again the morons that be say you can only keep one.  BS

I am waiting for the 11/1 opening of sea bass season and then I will spend my money again.

Tight Lines,
Bob G chrz

I fished the Sea Girt Reef 2 weeks ago and killed the sea bass upto 4# - Probably caught over 40 in 2 hours. Was so mad to throw them all back. I will def see you on the water come 11/1.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.
