Title: 6/25-/6/27
Post by: Fisherman120 on June 27, 2015, 11:30:46 AM
Fished 4 tides the past 3 days and it's been very slow. Best day was 4 shorts, no keepers. Not much action either. Thursday and this morning conditions weren't good, but conditions were excellent on friday... They either aren't biting or moved out of the area. Next time I'll be out is monday evening after work hopefully it picks back up again

You didn't mention what fish you were targeting, Stripe Bass or Fluke?

Fluke have been slow in Sandy Hook bay also, mostly shorts. Only good reports are coming from the deeper water. What types of bait are you using? Try Buck-tail with Berkley swimming mullet in white on a drop rig with the top hook bated with squid or Killie. Give them something to look at. My wife is using an 1-3/4oz buck-tail head in white with a large rubber grub in purl white, that has been producing better then other rigs.

I use strictly jigs and gulp, no bait. I agree that white has been by far the best color for at least a few weeks now, almost of all my fish have been on white and I give chartreuse/pink an honest try.
