I got an IDEA..

From reading some of the complaints on the board that involves thumbs up or down to certain marines.  Maybe, if there are any trustworthy boat mechanics out there, we can make a forum for you guys to do business.  I hate to give my money for boat repair to those dealers who only care about money.  Since we don't have those word of mouth mom and pop shops anymore, maybe we can get some good people on this site.  If I have a future boating related problem, I will post here first to see if there is anyone who wants my business.  I rather give the members my money instead of high priced dealers.  It might work out for everyone, just like having the Charter Captains as a sponsor, we can do the same with Marine Mechanics...  Just my thoughts....  What do ya think?

Yes. nick.  I have contemplated that before.  I think we need some of you guys to send them in this direction.  Then we can offer them or free sponsorship. they can help out the members and at the same time plug their business and maybe pick up some work from their area..  We'd have to cover from north to south.  that would be like 4 or 5 shops..

I'm sure they'd Jump on it,  but we would need recommendations from other's to insure their not a shoddy business right?..

Sounds good..Do you have any business cards, I'm all for taking to PJ over at Port Monmouth Marine.. He's good people and was his father business..So he has the right attitude..money well spent for the help he gave me with my Yamaha water impeller.

Roger That!!  And I must say we are attracting the right crowd...  From what I've been reading out there,  it's some choppy water ;D  nice and calm in our little cove here..
