Irish Ayes Bobbing in the Atlantic

Had the Bob crew on today. Bob Cole, Bucktail Bob and Bob G. Also had John Burkle onboard to round out the crew.

Hit a lot of our so called hot spots today. Just like the past two days, only one keeper fluke. This was caught by Bob G. John Burkle put a sea bass on ice. Our only two keepers for the day.

We had some short fluke but for the most part the fish were suffering from lock jaw again today. Tried whole squid, squid strips, spearing, smelt and sand eels. Bob Cole was hitting the fluke pretty good with whole squid but all the fluke were short. I tried spros with no luck and Bucktail Bob owned up to his name and used...bucktails along with the Shimano lucanis lure.

Hit the SR rocks, Rattlesnake, SH reef and plenty of spots between SR inlet and SH reef.

Tuff way to end the season. Will have to give it a try again tomorrow. Doesn't look like the weekend will be fishable.  :'(

Thanks for having me aboard today Joe! TT^  It was great to get out with you and the "A" team! ;D

We tried a lot of things in the trick bag today, but the keepers just weren't interested.  It was cool seeing that pod of dolphins in the morning though! t^

BTW, I'm still waiting for you to post the pic of my big catch! ::)

Embarrassing?  I think not!  It takes great skill to catch a 3" sea bass on a 5" jig!  rofla

Sorry Rod.  But I didn't realize that Joe even had me in the shot.  I thought he was taking a close-up of the fish! 5hrug  If I knew he was willing to take a chance on breaking his camera by pointing his lens at my facia bruta I certainly would have had the logo in the shot.  t^

Sounds much like my day. i was hoping to C&R a lot of fluke today...shorts or not, usually the end the of the season fluking gets fast and furiouse, but the slow north drift really put a damper on it...
