Title: Offshore SeaBass Results
Post by: Wreckfish on January 10, 2008, 11:28:30 PM
Went on my offshore Seabass trip today.  Tide and wind were ripping this morning and you needed 16 oz to hold.  But it settled down nicely by mid-morning. What a beautiful day for January 10th.   By the end of the day I was using 10oz of lead instead of 16. Capt made 3 drop with a lot of wiggles in between.  Fishing was good. Alway hot at the biginning of the drop or wiggle and then a slow but steady pick after the initial action. I ended up with 15 keepers C-Bass,, 3 Porgies.  Assorted Conger eels, Silver eels and lings. AQ couple Cod, no Pollack and one huge Monkfish were caught. Capt and crew are great. They all work hard and make an enjoyable trip.
