Well, while out for gas, I noticed staging areas and man camps full old utility truck and tree cutters. So let's see that status of everyone. I have power as of 3pm but still the phone lines are down.
-
No power Running on gen. Plenty of gas thanks to a trip to P A
-
No power. Was told through some neighborhood township employees we are likely to be 17 or more days before we get restored! The neighborhood was destroyed by downed trees and snapped a good majority of the poles. We are considered a hardest hit area and are just now having trees removed!
I am running on generator and tethered into my cell phone for internet. I have a small supply of fuel and the stations here are being kept supplied for now. Would like to have a can or two more, but that is harder than finding milk or bread rgmn!

I've been going to phillipsburg wawa's. They were pumping quick and getting frequent deliveries. Lines are that bad either. Actually had a smart person out there today directing people to try and keep traffic off the road.

Go west my friend and you shall find it. If you have verizon Fios, plug the backup into the gen.

Power
-
Still no power in Manchester.
Gas situation is getting better. Wawas seem to be the best bet. They are well staffed, have a plan and have a good supply chain. Several around here brought generators to get stations back in operation before they got power back.
-
Got the power back last night. This morning I returned the generator that I was able to borrow and hook into my power panel and disconnected the extension cord from my neighbors house.
-
Power, have to wait till Monday for gas odd plate and I'm not leaving bldg today elevator out.

Power still out for me, still might be a couple of days to a week yet. Tons or tree damage up here still. Both gas stations are up and running in Chester but are on generators. Lines where up to a mile and a half long at times .
Still running on the generator t^

Hang in there those without, good luck, stay safe.

Picked up a slightly used (40hrs) B&S 7000 generator from a friend up in Southport CT yesterday. I waited for 3 hours at the Vince L service area as I didn't have enough to make it all the way. Met up with my brother in Yonkers and took his pickup to CT. Loaded the generator and was able to fill up the truck and six cans of gas with no wait.
Made it home in record time, and thanks to brother we quickly ran extention cords and got the essentials working.
Three hours later at 7PM Saturday the power was restord.
I really wish this was a fishing report.....
-
Still running gen. Response from PECO-
1-Sun
2-Sat
3-Mon
Talked to Peco crew member, damage so extent, every section of grid they restore they blow more transformers. So many they ran out and are waiting for shipment to our area, hence the setback. No problem with gas and was well stocked. Alot of people here were not, have been charging anything they need and sharing what i have to anyone who really needs it. Have really found out what some of my neighbors are made of and it's not good. Hang in there everyone. Waiting for next set of updates from Surf City OEM office. Saw aerial from Noaa response imagery things look promising with no sand or debris in street and crabbing boat still in same spot next to garage.

I believe so....

Power is back on...bunch of out of state crews in the neighborhood this afternoon and got the area back on, but there is still obvious damage that needs to be repaired and not just patched. Grateful for the power, though, just in time for the freeze tonight!
TT^
-
Very nice Matt. Stay warm. t^
-
I'm hoping they replace the lines and transformers around here. We lose power every time we get a lil blow. We got it back yesterday but the street behind me where all the damage is, is still out. There is a shortage of transformers. So if that's part of the repairs, it could be a while.

Lost power about an hour ago. The sky has been lit up with some amazing light shows from transformers blowing and wires arching. And there is constant cracking of trees breaking and dropping. Currently have the top half of an oak hanging broken over my family room.
