A very mixed weekend. Saturday and Sunday will have chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms all weekend. Highs will be in the low 70’s to upper 80’s with lows in the 70’s. Some storms could be strong to even severe. Humidity will be moderate to high and fog is possible late at night and early in the morning, especially between Friday and Saturday and Saturday and Sunday. In fact, dense fog is possible on Friday Night into Saturday Morning. Water conditions will be borderline to cautious on Saturday and cautious on Sunday. Saturday will have winds to 15 knots and seas to 5 feet. On Sunday, winds will push 20+ knots and seas to 7 feet. Surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious with a moderate to high Rip Current Risk. Be aware of higher seas and rip currents. DO NOT swim on unguarded beaches or venture far into ocean waters. Water temperatures are steady in the upper 50’s to 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 3-10/15.

High pressure will remain well offshore through the weekend. A weak upper disturbance will move across the area tonight and Saturday morning. A low pressure system will move across the Great Lakes and southern Canada Sunday and Monday. It will cause a front to cross the area Monday. Weak high pressure will affect the area towards the middle of next week.

The Atlantic Tropics are watching two areas of invest that look to affect the Gulf and will need to be watched.

Monday will have fog late night and early morning, as well as a severe weather risk. More to follow…

Have a great weekend!
