Title: kayak cart "Wheeleez"
Post by: Dalejam on February 26, 2014, 01:09:32 PM
Hello all,

Getting close to that time of year again to launch and fish.
I have been researching carts for the yak. i have one but when i hit the sand it is useless. i usually have to unclip it from the yak and drag it through.

So after talking to some friends they all suggest the low pressure tires, wheeleez, two different models though here they are
1- Kayak Cart–Mini
Model # WZ1-KCM-U weight load of 99lbs. wheels are 9 1/4 high

2- Kayak Cart-Beach
Model # WZ1-KCB weight load of 176 lbs. wheels are 11 inch

I think the 99lb weight load should be good. difference is tire size

so if anyone has them can you chime in and tell me how the ones you have work out for you. my yak is 33 inches wide and weighs 76 pounds

hi Dale...... I don't use a cart on sand....I will only use my cart to get the kayak to the beach...Then just pull the kayak to the water....The cart I have has large tires and is great on a hard surface....But is horrible in sand.

that is what i am basically doing. it is bad enough that it is wide but when i hit the sand it feels like my entire family is in the thing when i am pulling it across the sand.

just tiring when you finally hit the water....
