Buffing Compound ????
« on: April 18, 2008, 10:46:32 PM »
I have a black Hull gell coat Robalo.. Was wondering what you guys who have colored hulls use for buffing compound. It seems I got some minor rub marks from the winter cover?? I want to get her done tomorrow!

I used the 3m one step marine compound and wax.
Brought out the shine nicely and removed the haze. My boat is white however so I don't know how it will work on the black.
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

Ship Shape TV used a product called Poly-Glow (which I probably mis-spelled) and it did wonders for colored hulls. They had a booth at the AC Boat Show. You might want to check the SSTV web site and see if Poly- Glow is listed.

I am using the product Poli Glow on the boat the past few days. It really brings the shine back to the old boat and they claim it lasts a full year. It goes on very easy. I ordered it directly from the poliglow websight. It goes on similar to a varnish. I am happy so far. t^

The cure for everything is salt water: sweat, tears, and the sea.
