Striped Bass Anglers!
Massachusetts MarineFisheries is studying
the temperature preferences of striped bass.
Temperature recording tags (see below) will
be adhered to bass from Plum Island Sound
in June.
The tags (and data) can be recovered only
with your help. If you catch a striped bass
with this tag, please remove it and call Gary
Nelson at 978-282-0308 x114. Rewards are

Very cool. My brother once caught a s bass in Great Kills Harbor with a tag ,nearly drowned trying to retrieve the fish. Fell of the bulk head wall he had no net and saw the tag so away he went. He then realized he couldnt get up a wall, anyway he held on and was fished out with the bass in hand. The tag had a reward with a phone number it was the University of Miami. The fish left Florida and headed straight to Staten Island..Oh the award was the cheapest hat you could find in a dollar store.. But he did make the papers TT^
