Title: Fishguts seabass limit 6/2
Post by: Capt. Birch on June 02, 2009, 05:04:43 PM
Ran another solo trip(somebody over slept...PRATO  :'()targeting seabass on the inshore wrecks. Lots of life on most pieces of bottom with a good showing of keepers.Conditions were as good as the fishing. No jumbos today but just a lot of nice 13 to 14 inch fish. I had figured by moving the size limit from 12" to 12.5" this season it would reduce the number of keepers by 20% on the trips I run. Today I release 40 fish 12" to under 12.5". It was one of the best showing of 12inch and larger fish I have seen in the area I was fishing.Plenty of 12.5" and larger fish around to fill the limit.Doggies are still on a few  spots. We will be right back at it tommorrow. With all the quality inshore seabassing I will offering a few 8 hour(lol thats almost a 1/2 day trip) open boat trips in the upcoming weeks. Check my site for more details.
