Left SR inlet on Sunday at 130 pm with the crew of Danny, Kirk, Robbie and Oke for the canyons. Had about 1000 pounds of ice and bait and 1250 pounds (conservative) of crew. Was a little bumpy and we were lines in before 530. Within 5 minutes of putting out the spread we had a double header of whites up but one never came tight and the other dropped off quick. Trolled around and had some tuna bites which we also missed - starting to think we were fishing hookless baits. Set up for the night chunk and went 2 for 3 on yft and caught 4 nice mahi. Up on the troll in the morning and the whites were everywhere. We raised 6 more whites and got releases on 3 including a nice double header. Missed a few more tuna bites and added another mahi. Fished until 1130 and then headed for the barn. Back at the dock Oke and Robbie took their 1st marlin plunge. We missed too many tuna bites but had a great trip overall. God Bless America and God Bless Our Troops.
