With the water at 49 - 50 deg. The blitz was on at least for most everyone, the vacuum principal was working for the wife and I. We were using the same bait, clams. The same type of tackle, circle hooks on a sliding sinker with anywhere from 4 - 6 oz to hold bottom. Poles were in the same general category. We were fishing the same cut through and trough. The guy to my right caught 5 shorts before I left. There was a very nice couple to his right they both caught shorts (Hi Evan and Brian). Earlier when we first arived there was a 30"er caught off the N. jetty (SWEET).
Like my wife keeps trying to convince me at least we had a nice day at the beach. She doesn't understand I don't want to have a nice day at the beach I WANT TO CATCH FISH AT THE BEACH!!!:-X
Oh well there is always tomorrow :'( :'( :'(

Here are some pics. You can see the trough as I outlined it in yellow and where I was fishing the cut in the bar was pretty noticable. Even inside the inlet was pretty rough... :o

Blue Fish in this morning (Sunday)!!! Pulled 8 out of the inlet upto 5.5 lbs.
Lost 3 stripers yesterday off the jetty on BOMBERS!!! Only had the Long As with me, the short BOMBERS were killers though!!!

Hay NJetty, were you out there yesterday? And did I talk to you because I spotted an L plate that was the same. Or was that some one else?

That was someone else, I've known him a long time though. That was my Orange Avalanche next to his truck. I was at the rocks when you came by.

Great! how did you do on the rocks earlier there was an 30"er caught there. That was in the morning...
We were just up the beach a bit between the pocket and that first spit of sand that juts out at low tide. Right there where the two bars open up.

Caught on clams at the hump, watched them use a net to get it up.

Give me a call I'm in the contacts forum, maybe we can hook up especially if you don't have a beach buggy pass. If I am free I'll take you out and show you around. I have enough gear just buy the clams ;D

I fished the northern end Sunday morning for 3 hours, landed 9 Bass and blew a few hits while daydreaming. It makes you slow on the trigger. Whole calms were not hit as often as half a clam.
