Pulled out of Keyport late around 6:20pm with Steve (Massbaster) and a 1/2 bushel of Clams. We ran into a Bunker blitz being chased by monster blues and managed to snag around 20 Bunker and another dozen chomped in half Bunker.
I head down south and saw a small fleet of boats anchored up so we went in that direction. I noticed some marks on the bottom on the way to the fleet so we anchored up set out the clams and Bunker. The first Striper head towards the anchor line and got off. The second fish head for the anchor line too but Steve and I did some dancing around the boat and anchor and pulled in a 22lb striper. t^
From that point we pulled in 10 Big stripers in the 16 to 22lb range all on Bunker heads or whole bunker. We used the clams as chum. The Stripers were swirling and jumping around us but would not bite on topwater or jigs.
Nice night with full moon and strong outgoing tide. I will post pics tommorrow, Got to get up for work at 4:30am. fcp
good luck,, Eddie
