Upper New York Bay 8-20-08
« on: August 20, 2008, 01:09:27 PM »
My fishing partner Jay is in Puerto Rico for a while so I went solo. Wasn't even thinking  of going until 11 this morning and I was fishing by 11:45. Well to sum it up in one sentence. I got skunked. Not even a bite and everytime I checked my bait their was seaweed on it. I was only at it for about an hour and decided to give up. On my way out of the place I stopped by a family of 3, a dad and 2 sons. It was the youngest ones first time out and he did better than I did. They said in just over an hour they caught 6 snappers and 2 stripers the biggest being 12". Not sure if I'll be doing it tomorrow but I will give it another shot on Firday.
