Spearfish 8/21/10 Fluke
« on: August 23, 2010, 12:40:40 PM »
Started in the reach with my dad Saturday.  Things were slow and we managed a few shorts and one 21" keeper.  Decided to try Ambrose as I haven't been there all year.   Should have stayed in the Reach.  Things got pretty rough past the Knoll and there were lots of boats at Ambrose, too many for me.  We made a few drifts and found shorts along the edge of the channel, but no keepers.  We made a couple moves and with little action and no more keepers we headed in early.  Even had the famous pink shine everyone is talking about, but I caught more on the chartreuse mullets.  Try again next week.
Good Luck.
