Was wondering what the going rates on insurance are these days. I'm looking at a 21' center console with a 150hp motor. I want to keep it in a rack or maybe even a slip so I don't have to trailer it every time I want to use it and so I can just fly down on days I want to go out after work.

I'm at about $700 a year from Boat US. Flat $50,000 for lose of boat and also all my gear and tackle is covered.. in case I get mad that I lost a big tuna and my $800 rod hits the deck and bounces overboard : )

whs ... My insurance is the same as Rod's

I had Boat US and they are now Geico.
I called this place for my boat, RV, and the RV toter truck and they saved me a lot of money and included the boat towing.

Rick, did they tell you what they cover? Oil/fuel spill? Grounding, Tow distance, etc.

I am covered for 75 miles off shore. Thinking I won't go much further then that with the pontoon boat. hhppy
I don't remember all the numbers Joe but just as good as BoatUS.
Oil spills, towing and soft groundings. They will even cover agreed value and fishing tackle.
This company saved me about $800 between my boat and RV. The includes the boat US membership for the towing.
