Title: Striper search 10/22
Post by: Early Bird on October 23, 2009, 11:19:25 AM
Just got done reading Captain Ron's report and thought I'd throw in my .02$

Left Shark river and headed north Thur. Morning with a game plan of trolling while looking for bait and marks to jig on. Dumped a couple of Mann's stretch 30's in the water around Deal and kept going up to the red church area without finding what I was looking for. Picked up and ran up to the rocks to find boats working from the can out to the rattlesnake. Put the plugs back in and it was bluefish city, no sign of stripers. Continued north to find a fleet anchored off SH reef clamming, but didn't see much activity there either.

Finished up the day making a couple of drops for sea bass on the way back. Cleaned up the boat, went home, and opened up my bottle of Stoli. I guess all great fishermen think alike. ;D
