a must have with the resurgance of sand eels is a AVA17 jig with a green tail and a teaser.

AVA's are always in my box and I always carry them in my bag as well.  A great go to metal lure.  I usually have them in sizes ranging from 007's to 47's.

Great lure and not expensive to boot.

I have a ton, but many are rusted!  They did not fare too well over the few years off.  I think I may be able to replace the hook and tail portion.  If not I will just have to replace the entire lure.  Luckily they aren't too expensive.

I picked up a few of the recommended lures the other day and plan on getting a few more next week.
Since there was nothing else goin on at the inlet the other day and the water was calm, I took the opportunity to try out the new lures and get a feel for their action.

That's cool!  It really is good to get a feel for your lures.  It really is amazing how different each lure is and how differently you can fish one lure.  Just the different presentations, speeds, etc can make all the difference.  Since I don't catch much, I spend most of my time doing this rofla!  It is great practice, especially when you fish with something you haven't fished with before.  Or when you get a new rod or reel or new line.  Some people look at me funny all the time, especially when I am throwing a lure that really is not appropriate for the area or conditions hhppy!  I really don't care.  Can't be any worse than the weekend warriors at the Canal.

Good Luck and catch 'em up!!

That's a good idea.  I have seen videos from manufacturers showing off the lures that way!
