Thursday night report
« on: November 21, 2008, 07:01:28 PM »
Went out to the rips with some monster eels. It was a bit rough getting there but laid out a bit out front. Wasn't but a couple of boats out there. Guess its too cold? Did not get many marks and had no hits and was getting antsy so I figured I would head over the the rivers to see if there was any action there but we decided to try a few more drifts when I got a nice fat 35" striper. it took a few more drifts for me to boat another smaller fish and a few more drifts for a tail squeezer. My buddy mike was losing a few and finally landed a schoolie. the tide turned and we were having a hard time with  wind against tide but Mike then got his tail sqeezer keeper. we tried to fish till 10p but the drift was not there. And it was cold. hee hee.
The last fish which was the smallest had the big fish on the left in it. I think its a king but not sure.  They all had mullet and the big one had the big eel...I thought the mullet were all gone. I would love to know where they came from.   Some sand eels and anchovies also.

nice catch Keith, getting kind of cold out there, been hanging on not winterizing hoping to get out a few more times for the bass.now I don't know, went to see a state high school playoff game tonite and I was dressed warm, layered up with clothes, insulated shoes and with the wind blowing froze my butt off.can only imagine how it would feel out on the water.again nice catch on your part and braving the cold. t^    Kez
