Raritan Bay Stripers 4/5
« on: April 05, 2010, 08:00:53 PM »
Out of Sayreville this morning around 8:30 with son Brian(striper74)and John, went to the spot in the bay where we had some succes on the trip last thursday,we fished this area chumming heavy
with nothing, made only a couple moves all day, only one hit and one fish caught that was a short 25 incher caught by John at the top of the high tide, this gave us a little encouragement that maybe with the swing to the out going just maybe but not to be,nothing all day thought sure today with the water cleared up and warmed up a little more.headed in around 4.will give it another try Wednesday.   Kez

Nice effort Kez...I went out with the family on Sunday to dust off the boat. I brought the rods along and made a couple cast here and there...know luck but a great day on the water...if i saw ten boats all afternoon it was alot. River was better then I thought.  chrz soon it will bunker bass and blues.

Oh well..... I thought when John picked up that short at the top of the incoming / start of slack that we might see action on the outgoing tide. 5hrug  Ya  can't catch em' if you don't try! t^  Sure got some nasty windburn on the face myself.  The wind was howling pretty good in the early afternoon.  I got the raccoon eyes going from wearing shades all day. ;D  Hopefully you and John get into em' on Wednesday.   chrz

we didn't see to many boats today either, actually saw more on Thursday when the River was high and dirty full of debris and the bay dirty,I know it's still early, last year we didn't have any real great catches until about the third week of April, know it can only get better,kp here's hoping you have a great season.
