It was chilly but comfortable this morning as Tom and I headed out on what may be our final Fluke trip this year. The first stop was in the Southeastern corner of Sandy Hook Bay where we found a few short Fluke near the Shrewsbury Channel. Made a move to #13 Sandy Hook Channel that carried us out to the ocean, here, there were no fish of any kind and brown water. A move down the beach as far as the Nude Beach proved uneventful. On the way back in Tom stopped at the #1 Can at the Point of the Hook in about eight feet of water where I caught the only keeper Fluke for the day, there were shorts caught here also. No Killies today, we relied on Bluefish strips and GulpĀ© swimming mullets for bait. Pete
