Well its bee a little over 2 years but we are finally returning to Hawaii Nei.  We will be there for Memorial Day and all the festivities that goes along with it. 

We have many things planned I think the best will be seeing some old friends that we made last trip and have kept in contact with. 

There will be at least one day of fishing with my good friend Don B.  We will be targeting a fish called Oio or Bone fish here.  The flats on the windward side of Oahu are just perfect for them.  Plus a popular fish called the Papio which is a smaller version of the Travalle.

Once I get back I will be hitting the beaches pretty hard which I am looking forward to.

Tothelimit if you need anything to be brought back home give me a call and if it fits in the luggage I would be glad to bring it over there for you.

Thanks guys...And you are right, it means "Beautiful Hawaii".

I would love to retire there, we'll see once my wife decides she has had enough of working.

Eddie I am into a more traditional type of Hawaiian music.  I have friends there now that preform and are part of the Hawaiian culture and history.  One family is the Pahanui family that I have come to know.  Cyril the middle brother is carrying on his brother Gabby's tradition of the slack Key.  Take a listen some time.

Gabby passed on in 1988 and ever since then there is a concert on the beach in Waimanalo to raise monies for the true Hawaiian musicians.

As far as fishing I have a day all lined up to go whipping some where on the windward side of the island with a good friend.

Plus a stop at one of the better B&T's on the island Nanko's.  So looking forward to that.

Mahalo for the good wishes guys.  Rod you got to get back out there man.  The hospitality is fantastic and the fishing is off the charts.

I hope to take some shots holding a fish but you never know.  My main reason for going out there is to cement some old relationships and maybe start some new ones, plus gather pictures for me to paint.
