Fort Lauderdale Fishing on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

Alex Prichisky and seven year old son, Ryan, from Illinois chartered the Happy Day Today along with the Topshotfishing team here in Fort Lauderdale FL.  With perfect blue skies, variable winds out of the south east; it was a perfect day for father and son to do some bonding on Ryan’s first fishing trip.

We had a plainer rod down with a double hook Bonito strip followed by the pink sea witch, four Ballyhoo surface baits and a dredged teaser.  Fishing lines were put in the water north of Fort Lauderdale FL at 120 feet of water which is the edge of the drop off.  I worked in and out across the reef while Ryan, our only angler, caught Kingfish and 5 Bonitos, two of the Kingfish weighed in at 28 and 22 lbs.  It was time to head back to the dock at Bahia Mar 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.

Alex and his son had so much fun that they decided to charter the boat again for the following day and caught more Bonitos, Kingfish and a Barracuda.  As a memento of their father and son fishing trips, Alex mounted the 28 lb Kingfish and the Barracuda.
