Crappy Hudson Canyon Report
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:03:45 AM »
Left friday at 2pm and anticipated an easy 30 knot plus ride out - ha ha. Plugged along at 24 knots getting pounded the whole way. Arrived just before dark and set up on southwest corner in 600 feet. Worked hard all night and all we had to show was a pile of blue sharks and a pissed off stingray that skewered my thigh while trying to get the hook back (never try that again). In morning we hit the tile grounds and put 21 nice tiles in the box. Tried trolling for a couple hours and never had a touch. Then got pounded until about 20 miles off the beach, started at 33 knots and was down to 22 before it dropped out and we could run again. God bless our troops!
