Today it was Lou ,Tony and "Tony" back out to the inshore wrecks for more seabass. Again today the guys enjoyed nice quality fish. Nothing real big but out of the first 40 keepers only 2 fish needed to be measured. Real nice stuff. We cut the trip short due to the approaching storm front and were fortunate enough to be in and cleaned up before any of the rain
. trip total for the 3 anglers were 58 keeper seabass to 2.7lbs and 3 small ling for a real nice pile.
I just heard that seabass fishing is poor during the summer because they are "spawning". Really?
The fish are there and they will feed. They may not hit just any bait and the Capt may have to put some effort into the trip other than just dropping the hook, but it is possible to put large catches of quality fish together all summer long. The biggest "issue" would be cleaning all the bigger keeper fish off of spots, but they all feed all summer long.
