Crabbing Report
« on: March 27, 2012, 10:28:25 PM »
Last week I was at my Toms River house getting some things ready for the start of the season.  I decided to throw one of my commercial nets in off the dock just to see if there is any life.  All I had in the freezer last years was a box of frozen squid.  I go back a few days later and sure enough, 5 really nice size keepers.  There were probably more, but probably small that escaped through the rings.  Not bad for March and not bad for being deep up in the lagoon.  Usually small crabs in dockside at the house....

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Got a bushel down in the Great Egg Harbor Bay last Saturday.    Crabs are running thick and early this year.
