Irish Ayes Jigging 11/6/13

Got out fishing with Capt. Joe, Jim, Kevin and Bruce today.  We went north and jigged up a couple of hefty stripers in the morning.  After that we thought it was going to be a banner day for bass, but it turned out to be a little tougher than that.

We continued to follow the birds, not moving too far from the spot Joe found them yesterday,  and had action on monster bluefish for much of the day.  It took a while, but we finally located the mother lode of stripers as the sun was quickly sinking in the sky.  It was here that Bruce connected with his first jigged bass ever - a fat 20 lber! clp (And it didn't give up!)  ;)

With nightfall closing in, and with a heavy cooler, we left them biting and headed for the dock.

It was a great day on the Irish Ayes!  Lots of fun! ;D  Thanks Joe. t^
