8/16 Sandy Hook Fluke Report

Sailed open boat today for fluke with  Ikat,Mike,Mike T and Matt. Had a hard NW wind so we ran to ambrose. Wind against tide for the first couple hours held us on a nice drift. Great action boxing fluke  to 5lbs caught by Ikat. The drift started cranking with the wind making it too fast. Made some drops in shallower water  with a couple  of fish but it seemed to drop out on us for the reat of the day.

Kinda glad we didn't do the tuna today-may not have faired as well.time to get by butt in gear for October.

You seem to always put peeps over the fish and have a great time!!! Matt...chime in please....I'd like to hear allllll about it and if I need to bring you those Advil's   ;D ;D

Had an absolute BLAST yesterday out there with you guys.
Capt.Carl, thanks for the fun..really really had a blast... the Amanda Jean is even more beautiful in person then compared to your website pic...... I cant wait to get back out there with ya.

MsFish, ill take you up that offer for the Advil now.  LOL

This old sweetwater / surf fisherman even learned a few things:

1. Denn (IKAT) is probably the closest thing to a human GPS that exists
  
2. Its the 3rd wake you need to worry about  ;D

3. Pineapple and Kielbasa deserves to be its own food group, and i will be starting a petition to send it to the USDA to make it so. (dont believe me? ask my kids, brought it home, and they circled it like Lions around a wounded Gazelle. Add in that everytime I went into the kitchen, i seemed to leave with an empty toothpick in my hand.....by 845pm it was gone)

4. Dear god, if you call for the net.....make sure its worth putting in the net...god i felt like such a noob....ohhh the shame  hhppy

5. Finally, if you take the wifes good dish towel out with you to wipe fish guts on, donate it to the local landfill....do NOT take it home, nor leave it in your truck overnight.....especially if she is driving said truck to work the next day (again Ms.Fish, pass the Advil)
