After the good fluking the first week of July I thought we were going to have a great July this year.... Boy was I wrong. Fluked 6 times from 7/11 to 8/1 for 6 keepers, terrible action. Some of the slowest fluke trips I've ever been on especially for days with reasonable conditions. Today my dad and I wanted to get out of Jersey and went to the Hampton Bays for the first time. Over there was similar to here, very slow...... We fished hard all day and landed 3 keeper fluke each to 4 lbs, 7 keeper seabass together. I believe we were high hook for fluke and we really had to grind it out hard to get that much. I guess it was still better then the action over here, hopefully it blows open once the full moon settles off.

There's only a few months to fluke every year, this is what I save up for all year long.... Good fishing or not I'm going down trying. Eventually I'll get lucky with good fishing, this whole year has been a tough grind besides maybe 1 or 2 days.
