Bottom Line Fishing Report 6/25
« on: June 26, 2011, 07:00:07 PM »
Today we had Eric,Jarrett,Chris,Siade, and Steve on board from PA. We left the dock at 7am and decided to try for some bass, knowing that its been an early bite our back up plan was some fluke. We came out of Barnegat Inlet and headed north, looking for some pods of bunker. We ran into a nice size pod and immediately started snaging and droping.. But after having no hits we realized this pod had no bass under them and decided to move on..After snaging and droping a few more pods with no luck we decided to give the fluke a try..We first tried in about 24ft of water and were picking up some shorts and a skates. We then gave it a try in about 40-50ft and picked up two really nice size fluke. We could not get away from the sand sharks all day, although they are fun to catch we were not looking for them..We moved all over the place with no luck on the fluke but catching everything else skates, sea robins and sand sharks..Although we didn`t bring home alot of fish, the guys had alot of action and it seemed fun by all..The guys were great and we all had some good laughs. Thanks again guys...

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
