Pulled out of Keyport Friday afternoon around 3:30. Steve (Massbaster) and I headed south and found birds working the Keansberg area. They were hitting Ava's with tubes and mid sized shads. The Blues were in the 8 to 15 lb range. After the bite died off we anchored up in the union beach area and were chunking Bunker. I read some reports of Bass being caught in the area. We had quite a few Bluefish biting our hooks off the fluorocarbon leaders. We called it quits around 7pm. All the fish were released.
Saturday, Steve invited Chris (Cashin) and I out on his nice bassboat for some bass fishing on the river in Millstone. We had a nice day and caught and released several bass. The weather was okay with some light rain. I am back on the Hunter 2 Monday morning. Good Luck.. TT^

Fun week of fishing... thanks for the salt trip. We might have another chance to get on the sweet water before the fall bite dies... if youre interested.
