wednesday bass report
« on: July 03, 2008, 11:02:01 AM »
launched at 2:00 out of AH had a hard time netting bunker, because of low tide.  no pods.  managed 15 with one net after an hour of trying.  also caught a 16 in fluke, 2 sea robins, 3 spearing, 2 peanut bunker, and 12 snapper blues, all in the cast net.  headed to shrewsberry rocks.  took about an hour and 15 min. to get there because of the south wind and the 6 ft. waves, that were supposed to be 2-3ft.  Nice Forecast!  Managed 6 blues between 8 and 12 lbs.  No bass!  pulled the hook at 7:45, the wind stopped, got back to the marina in 20 min.

Fished Wed. PM 4 to 7 started out heading north out of the inlet.Noticed the seatow boat protecting the sunked boat site.Bunker a little hard to spot due to wind and water.Started to find bunker in 50'of water schools very spread out.No trouble hooking up and live linning bunker. Finally found trick pods of bait off the hotel Asbury made 3/4 good drifts through with no hits saw a couple of bass break water but very few.Did'nt see a single bass taken on any of the boats out there and there was a few.Been like this last couple of weeks some we kill them some days we come home empty handed

Good report guys,

Welcome to the site shmshm56 and thanks for posting your report.  Every bit helps.  This year seems like a rough one.  I hope the fall is better than last year and the stripers come in close this year.

Again Welcome Aboard.

Happy Catching

paul
