Friday fun day
« on: August 08, 2010, 05:08:29 PM »
Got to take the day off Friday with the girlfriend, so naturally it was on to the water we headed.  Left Keyport municipal a little late around 9am, headed up to the 11a.  It was like a lake out there with a southeast drift, the bite was on immediately.  One after another with shorts a plenty, but managed to box 1 keeper in the morning.  We were getting hungry and headed in and tied up at the Blue Rock around 1pm for some ridiculous collosal shrimp, clams on the half shell, and the best bloody mary I have ever had in my life!  Was planning on heading a little further east during the afternoon round 2, but the wind picked up as well as the seas.  Gave a quick wave to Kevin and the gang on the Fatties and Flattie's and headed back to 11a.  4 more drifts and 2 more in the box.  All keepers caught by my lovely lady, 18.5", and 2 19's.  Meat in the cooler and a beatiful long day on the water.  This is how it works when nobody brings a friggin banana!!    clp

I thought I recognized you.  We passed each other as you were heading in and we were heading out from the Blue Rock.  My girlfriend was pointing down to my NJSWF sticker on the window as you guys were waving back.   slt

Ha, I remember that from my trip on his boat a few years ago.  We were headed out as the tide just started going out, Kevin had me stick my head up over the roof to make sure we had enough room.  Made it under by a thin RCH  cfzd
